The second month of the year is recognized as the month of love (although in our humble opinion this noblest of emotions should be celebrated every day).

For romantic love, we celebrate Valentine’s Day, where traditionally we gift the one that has captured our hearts. It started out as a pagan fertility ritual but the Pope abolished it and proclaimed 14 February as Saint Valentine’s Day. In the Middle Ages the poet Chaucer was the first to link St Valentine with romantic love.

Couples celebrate by going on a romantic date and spoiling each other with flowers or chocolates. This year, consider a gift that will last longer than flowers or not ruin diet plans like chocolates are wont to do. There are many ideas for lasting gifts on the internet, but of course we believe that jewellery is the gift that keeps on giving! Imagine your loved one looking at their jewellery and thinking of you with a warm, happy feeling.
